Whether
you are a serious punter or simply enjoy having a small flutter
just for the fun of it, you will find ample facilities at Perth
to indulge yourself.
Bookmakers
pitches are located in front of the Paddock Stand and just inside
the main entrance to the Club Enclosure.
When placing a bet with a bookmaker you will asked to name the horse
and state how much you wish to invest. The bet will be struck at
the odds displayed on the bookmakers board at the time you place
the bet. Some
bookmakers will have minimum bet levels and may or may not accept
each way (place) bets. This will be clearly displayed on their boards.
You will be given a computerised receipt which you should check
as you will be required to produce this to claim your winnings.
In
the unlikely event of you having a dispute with a bookmaker you
should approach the ring inspector who can be located at the back
of the Paddock Stand.
Tote
facilities are located in numerous strategic positions around the
racecourse. They can easily be spotted with their bright red livery
and sign. Tote windows are also provided
in most bars and hospitality suites.
The main Tote office is located at the rear of the Dewhurst Stand.
Betting with the Tote is very simple and because of the wide variety
of bets available substantial sums can be won for fairly modest
outlays.
Details of betting with the Tote can be found inside our Racecard
and we suggest you read this before placing your bet.
For
those who enjoy the hustle and bustle of a traditional betting shop,
ours can be found between the Paddock Stand and the Main Grandstand.
Full coverage of all other meetings is provided, with a chance to
bet on numerous races throughout the afternoon if you wish.
If
you have any questions about placing a bet while at the course,
please ask any member of staff from the TOTE (wearing red uniforms)
or any bookmaker, they will be delighted to help. They will also
be delighted (with a smile) to accept your investment, with no guarantee
of a return. On the other hand
