Dress Code

Race day arrivals and departures
Grandstand & Centre Course EnclosureGates open two hours before the first race, usually 12 noon for daytime meetings or 4.30pm for evening meetings. Arrive early and enjoy a drink in one of our bars, grab a snack or check out the horses in The Parade Ring. We often have entertainment on in our Grandstand Enclosure before racing for guests to enjoy.
Should you be organising pick up from the course after racing has finished, we recommend a 5.30-6pm departure for daytime races or 9pm-9.30pm departure for evening races. However, please see check our website for up to date times seven days before race day for up to date times and plan accordingly.
VIP, Corporate & Galileo Guests
Our gates open for VIP guests at 12 noon for daytime meetings or 4.30pm for evening meetings. As you and your guests will be dining with us before racing, we encourage you to arrive in time for our gates opening, to give you enough time for a leisurely lunch and drink before racing. Our private bars close 30 minutes after the last race. Should you require pick up, we recommend organising this for 30 minutes after the last race has finished, however we will send you an up to date itinerary and timings with your tickets .
Food & Drink
Picnics are only allowed in the Centre Course Enclosure. Please enter via the Centre Course turnstile if you bring your own picnic. Grandstand Enclosure tickets are valid in this area. Please note, no food or drink will be allowed into the Grandstand Enclosure on race day.Perth Racecourse have a number of options for snacks and drinks on racedays, such as Hog Roasts, Fish & Chips, Highland Burgers, Sandwiches, Steak Pies or Soup. A number of bars cater for soft drinks, beers and ale, Pimms, Champagne, teas and coffees. Most of our cafes and bars can be found in the Grandstand Enclosure. Cashpoint
This is located on the ground foor of The Nelson Stand.
Disabled access
All of our restaurants have full disabled access and lifts where necessary and we have a number of raised wheelchair ramps around the track and Parade Ring for easy viewing. We have a limited number of private suites that are suitable for wheechair access.
Pets
Dogs are allowed in Perth Racecourse, however they must be kept on a lead at all times.
For our Premium Fixtures, such as Gold Cup Day or Royal Charities Day, we recommend leaving your pets at home due to the large crowds.
Smoking Policy
Perth Racecourse operates a no smoking policy throughout all of our internal spaces. Smoking is permitted in outdoor areas.
Tickets
All tickets purchased in advance will be available to pick up from the turnstiles on race day. For group bookings and visitors dining with us, tickets will be posted out 2 weeks prior to the raceday.
Advance booking is recommended for our premier racedays, such as Gold Cup Day, Royal Charities Day and Ladies Day. To book, click here.
Advance booking is always recommended for our restaurants as these can fill up months in advance. To book a seat in our restaurant on a raceday, please contact the Racecourse Office on 01738 551 597.
Betting
You do not need to place a bet on the day, however if you do the minimum betting amount is £2.00. Should you require a helpful guide to having a flutter, please let us know.
Gift Vouchers
We can organise gift vouchers for birthdays, anniversarys and presents and we can customise your experience voucher with a message of your choice. For further information on our gift vouchers, please click here.
Group Booking Discounts
Discounts are available for groups of 15 people or more, with a £3 reduction per person and an additional 2 tickets free i.e. buy 15, receive 17. Ideal for giving to your designated driver or organiser!
Discounts are only available if you purchase your tickets 48 hours or more in advance of your chosen race day. Book your group bookings online here.
Lost and Found
Perth Racecourse’s lost and found items can be found at The Racecourse Office. Items will be kept for a minimum of 4 weeks. Items can be collected Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm or returned to you for a small fee to cover postage.
