PERTH RACECOURSE AWARDED
TWO NEW FIXTURES FOR 2003

The British Horseracing Board have confirmed that Perth Racecourse has been awarded two new days racing for the 2003 season. The new dates are Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd July, the same week as the Scottish Game Fair, which will be a tremendous boost to the local economy during this month. This brings the total to thirteen days racing for 2003.

Sam Morshead General Manager said "After ten years of trying, we have been rewarded with a great prize. This new two day fixture will maintain our momentum throughout the summer months. It is very good news for the growing number of owners and trainers who need opportunities at this time of year. It is also rewarding for our extensive list of sponsors and corporate clients who I am sure will make the most of these new mid-week racedays. However the biggest winners will be our Members, regular racegoers and punters. I am absolutely delighted that their support of racing at Perth has been rewarded in such a tangible manner."
