Perth Racecourse is once again looking forward to it's first evening meeting of the new season. Our exciting two day May fixture, with the first evening meeting on the 14th May will this year be supplemented by a new additional fixture on Friday Evening May 23rd.

The evening meeting on the 14th May is to be sponsored by The Famous Grouse who have generously supported this fixture for a number of years. This year they will be sponsoring four of the six races on the card, with a voucher to visit the Famous Grouse Experience in the racecard. The extension of the Famous Grouse sponsorship at Perth Racecourse has provided more opportunities for branding and exposure for the Highland Park and Macallan malts as well as The Famous Grouse itself. Gates open at 5.00pm and everyone is welcome to come an unwind at the races after a day's work. Tickets can be purchased on the gate for all enclosures.

Emrys Inker, Corporate Affairs Director with parent company Edrington, said that The Famous Grouse would be increasing its level of sponsorship activity with Perth Racecourse by over 50 per cent this year. The brand would continue its long relationship with the traditional May evening meeting - to be held next Wednesday, 14th - when it sponsors four of the six races, but would also support two other race meetings this season. "Besides being our local track, there are good business reasons behind Grouse's increased involvement," said Mr.Inker. "Horseracing is the fastest growing spectator sport in Scotland and there is a great synergy between racegoers and premium spirits brands like The Famous Grouse. Perth has built up an enviable reputation as a family-friendly course and its continuing
investment shows its commitment to the future. We want to share in the course's on-going success and continue a relationship that stretches back to the mid 1980's."

The 15th May will be Ladies Day at Perth Races with fashion and fun the order of the day. Ladies will enjoy half price entry into the Paddock Enclosure and there will be a prize for the best hat. The main sponsors DM Hall will be providing the prizes for the feature race of the day.
