PERTH
GOLD CUP DAY SUNDAY 22nd JUNE

The
McEwan's City of Perth Gold Cup Handicap Steeplechase
£30,000 added will be the feature event during the most
valuable day ever staged at the Scone Palace course, with
a total prize fund of £83,000, so big fields are anticipated.
Sam Morshead, General Manager is however keen to emphasise
that some great racing is just the backdrop to a special
day of family entertainment. A mixture of Horse Vaulting,
Falconry Displays & Ferret Racing, with more children's
entertainment than even the most hyperactive child can
manage. It should be a memorable day.
The racecourse gates will open at 11.00am, so the best
advice is to arrive early, especially if you are bringing
a picnic and taking your car into the centre of the course.
Racegoers who do not wish to bring their cars to the course
can make use of the free Park & Ride facility at the Broxden
roundabout, where direct buses to the racecourse will
be in service from 11.00am. The new regular raceday bus
service will also be in operation from Mill Street in
Perth leaving at 70, 60 and 50 minutes before the first
race, which begins at 2.30pm.
There is also a free bus from Albert Square in Dundee
leaving at 11.00am.
