Following on from the prestigious Racegoers Club Award for the "Best Small Racecourse in Scotland and the N. East 2004" The Times Racing Diary have announced their Racecourse Awards for 2004. They have named Perth Racecourse the "Friendliest Racecourse 2004". Alan Lee from The Times commented "From a strong mostly Scottish shortlist, Perth is the winner. It combines the welcoming feel of a village fete with some of the best food and drink on the circuit - and the racing isn't bad either."
Julie Manners Marketing Manager commented "It is very pleasing to be recognised by the Times as the "Friendliest Racecourse for 2004". We pride ourselves on the attitude of all racecourse personnel and welcome racegoers of all ages from all over the U.K and Ireland annually. We aim to maintain a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, even with the growth that we have experienced in crowd numbers and hospitality over recent years.
After another record breaking and award winning season in 2004, the Management team are looking forward to another action packed season in 2005, which begins with the ever popular three day Perth Festival from the 20th to the 22nd April 2005.
