Vale of Glamorgan trainer Evan Williams sent Osiris (9/4 jt fav) on the 810-mile round trip to lift the £30,000 Barr Construction-sponsored City of Perth Gold Cup in front of a bumper 10,000 crowd at Scone Palace Park on Sunday 5 June.
Osiris, owned by Paddy and Breeda Heffernan from County Wexford and ridden by 22-year-old Christian Williams, led at the fourth-last fence and stayed on well to win the three-mile showpiece by four lengths from Curtins Hill.
Evan Williams (34) said: "This is a massive success for my stable. It was well worth the nine-hour journey to get here and it's great to have my first winner at Perth."
Christian Williams added of 10-year-old Osiris" "He gave me a great ride and he handled the heavy ground very well. He was very game."
Susan Bradburne's Tandava (5/2 jt fav), Len Lungo's Chef de Cour (4/5 fav) and Jim Goldie's Kid'z'play (3/1) sealed a Scots treble at the Gold Cup fixture.
Wilson Renwick-ridden Tandava won the Perthshire Solicitors Property Centre Novices' Hurdle and Chef de Cour and Tony Dobbin lifted the Stephen Country Homes Novices' Hurdle.
Kid'z'play impressed in winning the Famous Grouse Novices' Chase on his chasing debut under Richard McGrath by 12 lengths to gain his thirteenth career success, flat and jumping, for Goldie.
Venetia Williams' Nephite ( 4/1) bravely won the Glenvarigill Honda Handicap Chase for Sam Thomas under top-weight of 12 stone, Farne Isle (100/30 fav) won the totesport.com Handicap Hurdle for Geoff Harker and 7lb claimer William Kennedy and Parisienne Gale (6/1) won the Persimmon Homes Lady Riders' Mares' Only Handicap Hurdle for Richard Ford and 20-year-old Caroline Hurley.
