Welsh trainers Peter Bowen (three winners) and Alison Thorpe (98/1 brace) celebrated a memorable visit to Perth's two-day Game Fair Meeting on 29 & 30 June.

Bowen's Celtic Boy (4/1) and Richard Johnson lifted the £12,000 Prestige Scotland Handicap Chase by five lengths on the 29th and Tony McCoy-ridden Mr Ed (2/7 fav) cruised to an eight-length success in the SIS Novices' Chase and Rebelle (6/4 fav) and McCoy sealed the Haverfordwest trainer's treble in the DM Hall Novices' Hurdle by four lengths on the 30th.

"This is my first visit to Perth for five years. Celtic Boy loved the fast ground and is an improving horse. Tony was very pleased with Mr Ed and said he would be a very good horse over fences," said a delighted Bowen.

Graham Lee-ridden Red Chief (8/1) and Richard Johnson-ridden September Moon (10/1) sealed the double for Alison Thorpe's Carmarthen stable on her first visit to Scone Palace Park.

Jim Goldie praised Kid'z'play following the nine-year-old's impressive victory under Richard McGrath in the Famous Grouse Novices' Chase at odds of 3/1. "He is as brave as a lion and loves jumping fences. He is unbeaten in four starts at Perth," said the elated Renfrewshire trainer.

Keith Mercer gave Jean McGregor's Goodbadindiferent (11/1), backed at morning odds from 25/1 to 16/1, a superb ride to win the Dewhurst Ring Bookmakers Novices' Handicap Chase for the Milnathort trainer.

Tom George-trained Travel (6/1), owned by Sharon and Philip Nelson, romped to his third Scone success in the £12,000 DM Hall Handicap Hurdle under Jason Maguire, staying on strongly to win by eight lengths.
