Perth Racecourse continues to attract new business outside its much acclaimed racing programme. After a busy winter hosting a wide range of events in the Nelson Stand, they are now planning to provide the venue for Horse and Pony Sales on two different dates this summer. With the Winners Enclosure providing the auction amphitheatre, the Parade Ring for good viewing of forthcoming Lots, good car and lorry parking with the opportunity for vendors to show their horse or pony off over a pole, it is hoped that these sales will become annual events. With the help and support from United Auctions in Perth the first sale will take place on Wednesday May 30th from 4pm. Vendors will be able to access Entry Forms through the Perth Racecourse website, www.perth-races.co.uk or by telephoning the racecourse office on 01738 551597. Admission will be for all those who have a catalogue, which will be available to purchase at the main Racecourse entrance for £5.

Naturally all Lots will need to be fully vaccinated and I am sure the vast majority will be sold with a Vets Certificate, we will also have a Veterinary Surgeon on site. With the help of David Leggatt and United Auctions we plan to run this new venture at the highest possible standard giving confidence to both vendor and purchaser while also providing an entertaining evening out for the public when our Owners and Trainers Bar will be open, along with our Fish bar. I have spoken to BHS (Scotland) who are giving the sales their full support and we all look forward to this new venture with confidence”.
