Start the season off in style and join us on the 21st April 2010 to launch the Perth Festival meeting. Three days of fantastic racing attracts famous names from Cheltenham and Aintree, it's party time for them as they come to relax in the beautiful surroundings of Perth Racecourse after a busy time down south.
Additional stabling is usually in order as we hope to attract over 150 runners over three days with fantastic prize money on offer, typically around £221,000. Our well valued sponsors allow us to put on a great show at the Festival meeting with a high quality of National Hunt racers being seen over the jumps at Scone Palace Park.
The Press & Journal Highland National is the peak of excitment on the final day of the Perth Festival, with crowds travelling from all over Scotland to see who picks up the trophy in 2010.

A night out in May at the races is fun for all ages to enjoy, take a flutter on a few races and as the sun goes down after racing, party in front of our Nelson stand with local rock band the 'The Original Windows' supported by their guests 'Three Card Trick'. The Windows own brand of original melodic music is inspired by The Beatles, Stones, Kinks and The Who. Start time is perfect for after work socialising with the first race at around 6.10pm and the concert following at 9.15pm.
Looking to treat your guests to something more special? Join us in the Galileo Suite and enjoy a delicious two course meal, corporate badge, race programme, tote betting facilities and tipster entertainment! This night's sure to be a winner to back at only £75 +vat per person and guests will also be able to dance the night away after racing.
Ladies Day is gaining every year in popularity as the girls make any excuse to dress up in their Summer dresses with a trip to the races. There will be amazing prizes on offer for the 'best dressed' lady and for the first time this year we will be judging the best dressed "Pink Lady" in association with Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Wear pink to be in with a chance to win!
A spectacular catwalk show in association with Phase Eight will give you all the fashion tips and ideas you need for the summer season and with Perth FM as your MC for the day it is sure to be the highlight of your social calendar.
This two day race meeting is always popular with the jockey's as spring is in the air and the track is in fantastic condition to attract top quality runners. Young horses often come here for their final run before being turned away for the summer so the racing scouts are out to be impressed!

City of Perth Gold Cup Day with approximately £25,000 prize money holds claim to one of the biggest and perhaps the most prestigous UK jumping races of the summer; attracting a superb quality of racers from far and wide.
Last year's winner Backstage managed to secure a fantastic win amongst a full field of 19 runners including, 2008 winner Brooklyn Brownie; we're sure he'll be back again this season to trya nd make it a double!
Crowd's turn out in force on Gold Cup day attracting over 11,000 people from 11.30am onwards when the gates open, It's a fantastic family day at the races with additional entertainmnet in the Parade Ring before the first race ranging from magicians and Pipe bands to falconry and circus acts, details are still to be confirmed but its guanateed to be a fantastic line up for the afternoon!
Reserve a table in one of the fantastic restaurants on site to start the afternoon off in style book early in the year though to avoid disppointment, as crowds from across Scotland head to Perth for a great day out celebrating amongst friends and family. It was a summer scorcher last year so lets hope the sun shines on us again in 2010! Fun for all the family, a great introduction if you have not been before. Come early and don’t miss any of the additional entertainment. Children under 16 get in free for all race meetings at Perth and there will be lots for them to see and do, as well as a free crèche in the centre of the course.

The new Perthshire Showcase meeting on Wednesday 30th June and Thursday 1st July will invite you to sample the local fayre in association with Oofest and see the best produce that Perthshire has to offer. So come along and support and discover local talent, from locally made food and drink to jewellery and art. Oofest have a passion for local produce and the Perthshire countryside and this event will really whet your appetite when combined with a fantastic day at the races!
This summer fixture is another great opportunity to enjoy the thrill of National Hunt racing in a superb parkland setting. Racing at it’s best, with stalls selling a variety of racing memorabilia, pictures, clothing and other equestrian related products, you have an opportunity for some serious shopping.
Come and enjoy a relaxed afternoon’s racing in the summer sun at Scone Palace Park, with friends, family or colleagues. Why not take a table in the glass fronted first floor Galileo Restaurant in the Nelson Stand with spectacular views overlooking the Racecourse. This is the fifth year of this new Sunday Family fixture in the Perth Calendar, which is proving to be a very popular one, almost rivalling the crowds on Perth Gold Cup Day. It should be warm, it should be sunny and the racing will be top class. In July 2009 just over 8,000 racegoers enjoyed their day.
A suberb range of Kid's entertainment will be instore across the site from bouncy castles, giant slides, fairground stalls, face painting and pony rides with fun for all the family.
We will be hosting Pony Club Racing again at Perth Racecourse for only their sixth appearance in 2010. Local Pony Club members will be racing against each other under The British Horse Racing Authority rules. Cheer on your favourite pony and young pilot, these could well be the jockeys of tomorrow. The winners of each race will qualify for the final at Aintree later in the year. Taking place in front of the Nelson Stand before racing starts.
As it is World Cup Final day, we will be extending our hours by showing the world cup final live after racing. Racing finishes at So there's never been a better excuse to come along and enjoy a day of sport with the whole family!

A fantatsic line up will be fronting our outside stage by the Nelson Stand after the evening's racing from about 9.15pm (full details to be announced April 2010). This is a great opportunity to enjoy and evening of competitive racing then party into the night with music from bands such as the fantastic "Queen" tribute band and a late bar until 11.00pm. The band are free to watch for all racegoers. Gates will open at 5.00pm with the first race at 6.40pm and the last race at 9.10pm.
Come and enjoy an evening’s racing full of excitement and competitive spirit, a situation not entirely confined to the racetrack. Tuesday evening 27th July is as much about a good night out as trying to back a winner; live music and a late night bar is the order of the occasion.

Our first Saturday fixture in 7 years!! This will be a fantastic Opportunity for Scotland to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the granting of the Royal Charter to Perth. The Afternoon's addittional entertainment will centre around life in Perthshire in 1210, with some of the highlights to include two jousting tournaments and a re-enactment of the presentation of the Royal Charter to Perth by King William the lion.
Other entertainment will be available for families and children with visitors encouraged to come in dress suitable for the 13th century if they wish! Once the main celebrations are over six exciting horse races will take place with bookmakers and tote betting facilities available to all over the age of eighteen. Following the races there will be live music entertainment for all to enjoy into the summer's evening with partying held outside the Nelson Stand.
We are now completely sold out for our restaurant and hospitality packages, however get in touch with the Racecourse office today for our range of inclusive entry/burger/beer & betting packages.
Admission as always, is free to children under the age of 18, and Adult tickets for Granstand will be £20. The centre course will be open as well with bouncy castles and a creche facility available throughout the afternoon.

The Glorious Finale is our oldest fixture dating back to the 17th Century. When held down on the South Inch in Perth, Bonnie Prince Charlie is said to have been hiding in the crowd at Perth Races. In those days, the races were part of the entertainment laid on prior to the big Perth Ball, and up to quite recently that remained the case.
Gradually Perth gained more fixtures, but the September fixture has always maintained a special place in the social calendar. It provides a very useful opportunity for horses to have their first run prior to a busy season and now enjoys the blend of also providing a final run for those horses who have had a busy summer campaign. Good sponsorship provides for excellent prize money, which very often attracts a significant number of southern raiders, many of whom are worth following.
We finish on a high note with two days of very competitive racing and keep the fires burning……
