Perth Racecourse Charities Day

Supported by Scottish Hydro
Saturday 20th August*

View Press Conference video here

Join us for what will undoubtedly be one of the most exciting fixtures in racing in 2011 as we pledge to raise £200,000 for The Prince's Trust Charities in Scotland, a group for not-for-profit organisations of which His Royal Highness is President.  The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay will be in attendance and presenting the winner of the Scottish Hydro Summer Champion Hurdle with their prize.

It is an action packed day with 8 races to be competed for with over £80,000 in prize money to be won.  In addition, join us before racing for a sport more commonly associated with the Middle East, camel racing!  Clothed in fantastically colourful Arabian style outfits, the camel racing will not only present an entertaining addition to the Perth Racecourse Charities Day, but will also be an eye-catching addition, providing pzazz to this prestigious event.  The camel racing will accompany other pre-racing entertainment including a pipe band display from the Scots DG Pipe and Drums, with a white charger in attendance.  To continue the excitement and to perfectly finish off the day there is live music from soul band, Declaration.

Buses are available from P&R Broxden to Mill Street departing every 15 minutes from 9.44am to 4.44pm, return service available from Mill Street.  Followed by bus transport from Mill Street to Perth Racecourse starting 12 noon to 2.45pm and 7pm until 9pm departing every 15 minutes, return service available.
