Perth Praised For Serving Up A Season Of Success As It Earns Two Industry Award Nominations
Perth Racecourse’s post-season positivity has continued after the Scone venue was named as finalist in two categories of racing’s prestigious Showcase & Awards, hosted by the Racecourse Association (RCA).
The annual Showcase & Awards is the marquee event of British racecourses which celebrates excellence and innovation, in partnership with Moët Hennessy, Racing Post and Great British Racing.
Perth been listed as a finalist in both the Food & Beverage and the Digital & Social Media Excellence categories. From the five finalists in each category the winners will be revealed at the Showcase & Awards ceremony on Thursday 14th November at Hamilton Park Racecourse.
Hazel Peplinski, Perth Racecourse Chief Executive, said: “This is such exciting news for everyone at Perth Racecourse – we are suitably thrilled to be shortlisted in two categories and we are already looking forward with anticipation to the big night in November.
“As always, this success is testament to a true team effort here at Perth and to the excellence and innovation provided across an entire season, including by our catering partners at Heritage Portfolio. Our listing as finalists already feels like a big win to us and is something that not only Perth Racecourse can be proud of, but the city and region can be too.”
The Food & Beverage Award identifies excellence and innovation in racecourse food and drink quality and service. Successful finalists had to reflect both the fare itself and its journey from conception to plate, as well as the level of service underpinning the operation. The Digital & Social Media Excellence Award celebrates best in class in the world of digital presence and social media. Entries had to demonstrate how the racecourse crafted targeted campaigns through these channels in order to improve brand presence, customer relations and/or commercial gain.
Paul Swain, RCA Brand & Experience Manager, added, “I am thrilled for Perth Racecourse for their success in being named a Finalist twice having had such a brilliant season.
“Competition for these awards continues to grow each year and it was only fitting for our tenth ceremony that we can celebrate a record number of submissions.
“Our Finalists represent the best of British Racecourses and should all be immensely proud of the work they’ve done to enhance the customer experience and their racecourse overall. All eyes now turn to Thursday 14th November at Hamilton Park where we will find out the winners.”
