Some days at Perth Racecourse are all about the fashion and the crowd (we’re looking at you Edinburgh Gin Ladies Day!), and then there are days like Murrayshall Country Estate Raceday, where everything slows down to a relaxed, sociable vibe allowing you to soak up the event and enjoy every effortless minute from start to finish.
What else would you expect when two of Perthshire’s premium names in hospitality come together?
At the heart of this raceday is a simple idea; when you care about the experience, you care about the people.
That’s exactly what brings Murrayshall Country Estate and Perth Racecourse together. Both are known for doing things consistently well and for truly understanding it’s the little details that count.
Murrayshall Country Estate Raceday isn’t about rushing from one thing to the next. It’s about arriving, settling in, and knowing everything’s been thought through. From the moment you step onto the racecourse, there’s a sense that you can switch off, relax and enjoy your day.
The beauty of this partnership is that it doesn’t start and end at the racecourse. A stay at Murrayshall Country Estate, just 3 miles from the course, turns raceday into something more. It’s the kind of place where you arrive for one night and immediately wish you’d booked two.
Think:
Back at the course, the racing brings its own energy with seven thrilling races, non-stop action and a lively trackside atmosphere. The £10,000 Handicap Steeple Chase is undoubtedly the highlight of the day, attracting talented horses and top-class jockeys for a truly competitive contest.
So, whether you come for the racing, the setting, or the full Perthshire escape, it all comes together here at Perth Racecourse.
Why limit yourself to one day when you can do two?
This year, Murrayshall Country Estate Raceday takes place as a daytime fixture, right before Edinburgh Gin Ladies Day.
With its relaxed, laid-back atmosphere, it is perfect for enjoying the racing and catching up properly with friends. A fantastic contrast to the high-energy glamour of Edinburgh Gin Ladies Day, it gives you time to settle into the course and scope out your day-two plan.
Do-The-Double and you’ll find the best of both worlds: a chilled day of racing followed by a full-scale celebration. Perfect for turning a great day out into a memorable two-day experience.
